Our Prices

Here at Szekely's pheasants we try and give our customers the best farm prices we can. That said we also strive to raise the finest birds in the state of Michigan. You may find cheaper birds but you will not find higher-quality pheasants than ours. Prices listed may vary at the time of sale.

As of 2015 retail prices are as follows:

Full-grown adult roosters both Black and Chinese ringnecks: $14.00 before December 31 $15.00 after December 31

Full-grown adult hens both Black and Chinese ringnecks: $12.00 before December 31 $13.00 after December 31

Chicks are open to limited sale starting at day-old and are $2.00 each for Chinese ringneck's and $2.50 each for black chicks at a 50-50 split. (There are people out there who are able to determine the sex of a pheasant chick just by looking at it I am not one of those people therefore chicks are pulled at random; the split may not be perfectly 50-50 but it is likely close.) As the age of the chicks increases the likelihood of identifying a rooster from hens increases and so does the price in increments of approximately $.50 a week.

Bulk orders will be given additional pricing considerations. For orders consisting of 100 birds or more per hundred miles traveled delivery is available upon request at a cost of one dollar per straight mile traveled to the recipients drop site. This cost is in addition to the price of the birds. Delivery is not currently available for all orders and needs to be worked out in advance.

For those transporting their own birds in their own boxes regardless of the amount of birds in the order we recommend poultry boxes made specifically for pheasants and hard top cat or dog carriers. We do not recommend cage type boxes with a wire top. These types of boxes unduly stress the birds and have resulted in several transport related fatalities for our birds in the past. Please do not bring cage boxes.
